FORMER AMHERST DAIRY WORKERS INDICTED
LUBBOCK, Tx. — A federal grand jury in Lubbock returned 13 indictments yesterday charging 14 individuals with various offenses stemming in part from an immigration enforcement action at two dairy farms last month, announced U.S. Attorney Richard B. Roper, of the Northern District of Texas. In May, federal search warrants were executed at 5 Star Dairy and Milk Harvest Dairy, in Amherst, Texas, which is located approximately 45 miles northwest of Lubbock.
The following 12 defendants are each charged in separate indictments with one count of fraud in connection with an immigration document (violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1546(a)) and false representation of a Social Security Number (violation of 42 U.S.C. § 408(a)(7)(B)).

All of these 12 defendants were arrested in May during the immigration enforcement action at the dairy farms. All were charged in federal criminal complaints and all are presently in federal custody. Arraignment dates for each of the defendants have not yet been set.
A separate federal indictment charges each of the two below-listed defendants with two counts of fraud in connection with an immigration document and aiding and abetting (violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1546(a) and 2) and two counts of false representation of a Social Security Number and aiding and abetting (violation of 42 U.S.C. § 408(a)(7)(B) and 18 U.S.C. § 2).

The investigation is being conducted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the cases are being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Denise Williams of the Lubbock, Texas, U.S. Attorney’s Office.
